Yaping Chai is AECOM’s Vice President of Tourism and Hospitality, Greater China. She is an award-winning landscape architect who is highly experienced in tourism and hospitality projects in the Greater China and Southeast Asia, and United States.

Yaping is currently focusing on projects in Greater China, leading talented teams across the region in large-scale multi-disciplinary resort planning and directing landscape detailed design. She had much successful collaboration with some of the world’s largest and most respected international hotel operators. Her strengths lie in hotel design, business development, project management through implementation, and – given her extensive experience working in different countries – bridging cultures in the transformative process of design. Yaping has been instrumental in growing the firm’s presence in Asia and fostering increasingly collaborative efforts between offices and teams to bolster AECOM’s leading position globally in resort planning and design.
