A native of California, Colin studied Anthropology and Art at UC Berkeley before moving to Chicago to pursue his Masters of Architecture degree at the University of Illinois. After graduation Colin joined the Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) where he gained experience working in a collaborative design environment on large landmark projects.

Colin is currently an Executive Director at AECOM leading the architecture practice for the China region. Colin specialises in mixed use urban projects with an emphasis on integrating architectural form with sustainable design. Colin’s approach to design incorporates the latest digital design tools and sustainability research with an understanding of clients business and market needs. The result is beautiful architecture that is at once highly technical and at harmony with the local climate and culture.

Recognised for his team leadership he employs a strong collaborative approach at all stages of design and an ability to work to tight deadlines. His innovative and unique approach to challenging and complex design problems has left a lasting impression on many projects. His design, management and communication skills are assets that continue to drive successful project outcomes for our valued clients.

Colin is a US registered architect, member of AIA Shanghai and a USGBC registered LEED AP able to address sustainability issues and guide projects towards more environmentally sensitive solutions. This approach is integral to AECOM core values.
