Bill Lee is leading the effort for PropTech investments and real estate development for Gaw Capital, bringing the proven technological concepts to the real estate assets. In his prior role as Director of Real Estate Strategies and Development for Microsoft, Bill was responsible for formulating and implementing Microsoft’s main campus refresh initiative for its work place and support spaces. The program delivered an intelligent environment that enables Microsoft employees to do their best innovative work. The strategic plan includes the most futuristic thinking for real estate, incorporating the anticipated changes in how people live and work in sustainable and technological world. As a real estate executive leader, Bill possesses over 20 years of achievements in real estate development and finance, project development and execution, acquisitions, campus planning and engineering in both public sector and major real estate development companies. He directly managed highly visible and key development projects involving complex equity groups and financing in the 11 major markets in the US as well as implementing strategies for development operations internationally. Bill’s industry focus has been with “city-like” development projects. Bill holds a Master in Urban Planning from Harvard University. Bill also has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Bucknell University. In addition he has provided and led discussions as panelist and keynote speaker with real estate industry, investment firms, and municipalities about technology and humanity as a focus in key projects throughout the world and is currently is an instructor for the Executive Education program for real estate professionals at Harvard University.
